When can I start?

How does the membership work?
Studio HegeK is an online membership you access from anywhere β your living room, your kitchen table, your garage studio. You get a library of step-by-step painting processes, new content every month, 3 live sessions with me (2 coaching + 1 live painting), monthly challenges with prizes, and a private community of painters who cheer each other on. Watch at your own pace, paint along when you're ready, and come to the live sessions when you can.
I've never painted before β is this for me?
Especially for you. Most of my 2,500+ students started exactly where you are. Abstract painting is not drawing β you do not need to draw. You don't need a degree, a talent, or a steady hand. You need paint, a canvas, and someone to show you what to do. That's what I'm here for.

I have a busy schedule β how does it fit?
Everything is recorded. Watch the painting movies from the bus, the couch, or while you're cooking dinner. Paint along when you have 30 minutes or 3 hours β there's no schedule to keep up with. The live sessions are a bonus, not a requirement. And the challenges are designed to get you painting in small, joyful bursts β not marathon sessions.
When are the live sessions?
We have 2 live coaching sessions and 1 live painting class each month, plus the new Open Atelier. Times are posted in the community so you can plan ahead. Can't make it? Every session is recorded and available in the library within 24 hours.
What if I can't attend the live sessions?
No problem at all β every live session is recorded and waiting for you in the library. Many members watch the replays while they paint. You'll learn just as much. And in Open Atelier, you can submit your painting ahead of time, so I'll review it live even if you're not there.
Will I need a lot of supplies?
No. You can start with a few tubes of acrylic paint, a couple of brushes, and a canvas. I always include equipment lists with my painting processes so you know exactly what you need β no guessing, no overspending at the art store. And if you go annual, the Make Your Own Canvases bonus will save you serious money.
I don't have much space
You don't need a studio. A kitchen table, a corner of your living room, or even a spot on the floor works perfectly. Many of my students paint on their dining table and clean up after. Abstract painting is wonderfully forgiving about space β you just need room for a canvas and your paints.
Is this actually worth $397?
That's $33 a month β about a dollar a day. For that you get 3 live sessions with me every month, the full painting library, monthly challenges, the community, Open Atelier, and all your bonuses. If you paint one canvas you're proud enough to hang on your wall, you've already got more out of it than buying a piece of art. And your walls will fill up fast..
Is installment payment an option?
Yes β the monthly plan is the installment plan. $49/month, cancel anytime, no commitment. But if you can swing the annual, you'll pay $397 instead of $588 over the year β that's $191 back in your pocket, plus you get the Make Your Own Canvases bonus and your painting on my easel in the first Open Atelier.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Monthly members can cancel anytime β no questions asked, no commitment. You simply stop your subscription and keep access until the end of your billing period. Annual members are billed once for the full year. That's also why the monthly option exists β if you're not sure yet, start there. Try it for a month, and if you love it (and I think you will), switch to annual and save $241..
I don't think I have the talent to paint
Good β neither did I. And neither did most of the 2,500 people I've taught. If a teacher once told you that you couldn't draw, that teacher was wrong about what painting is. Abstract art isn't about getting it "right." It's about play, color, texture, and trusting the process. Talent is a myth. Technique is learnable. And I'll teach you.
Am I too old to get started?
Absolutely not. Many of my most passionate students started in their 50s, 60s, and beyond. There is no age limit on creativity β and honestly, this stage of life is often when it matters most. The kids are grown, the schedule is shifting, and something inside you is whispering that it's your turn. Listen to it.
What kind of support do I get?
